Zenith People drive home the money for St. Clare’s
A charity Golf Day organised by recruitment consultants Zenith People for St. Clare’s Hospice raised over £1,000 to help patient services in the Jarrow based Hospice.
Alan Metcalfe, General Manager and Dan Barton, Marketing Consultant from Zenith People handed over the final cheque from the event of £800 which completed the companies fundraising and combined with the proceeds from a raffle on the day, £1230 was raised for St Clare’s.
Dan said, “I really enjoyed working on the Golf Day. It was great to organise something which benefited our local Hospice and also have the opportunity to network with other companies. This was our first Golf Day, so we were delighted to raise just over £1,000 and we hope to organise another next year with even more players."
On Friday June 10th the Golf Day was held at Boldon Golf Course and showcased 8 teams made up of players from local businesses. The line up included players from Zenith People, Shaun Matthias Painting and Decorating, Filtrona , A & P Tyne, South Tyneside Business Forum, South Tyneside Manufacturing Forum , Schofield Electricals, Hanson Wealth Management, SEMTA and more.
It was an excellent day and it’s safe to say was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants. The awards went to: Shaun Matthias Painting and Decorating for the Best Team Score and the coveted Wooden Spoon went to Pete Anderson (RPMI).
In addition to the rounds of Golf, players were also able to take part in a raffle with some great prizes donated by local businesses and SAFC and NUFC Football Clubs.
On behalf of St. Clare’s Vanessa Mustard-Wright Corporate Fundraiser said, “I’d firstly like to thank everyone at Zenith People, in particular Alan and Dan for all their hard work in putting the event together. I know the participants involved had a great day and really enjoyed the course and hospitality of Boldon Golf Club. I know I speak for everyone at the Hospice when I say that we are genuinely appreciative of the time and effort that goes into raising money especially given the current economic climate.”
On behalf of Zenith People Alan Metcalfe added, “We are delighted so many of the business community wanted to support a charity which was close to our hearts. It was a great event and we had fantastic weather, we look forward to having another great golf day next year!
