IIM Expert Panel to Dispel Uncertainty over AWR

IIM Expert Panel to Dispel Uncertainty over AWR

38% of Interim Managers “have no clue” how AWR will impact them, 20% expect a detrimental effect says the Institute of Interim Managers.

With the Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) becoming law on 1st October 2011, the Institute of Interim Managers (IIM) Expert Panel will discuss the impact of these new rules and answer questions, at a special event next month.

According to the IIM’s recent Interim Management Survey 2011, 38 per cent of interim managers “have no clue” how these regulations will affect them while a further 20 per cent anticipate a detrimental effect.

In the same survey, 31 per cent of interim management service providers felt that AWR would have a detrimental impact on interim managers.

On 8th September 2011, the IIM will bring together a panel of experts, including some who were actively engaged in shaping this legislation, to discuss the impact of AWR upon the interim management community and to advise on the steps which interim managers need to consider.  The event is open to all interim managers and service providers who wish to learn more about these important regulations.

The IIM expert panel will consist of:

Adrian Marlowe LLB - Managing Director of Lawspeed and a leading authority on Recruitment Law

Tom Hadley - Director of Policy and Professional Services, REC

Michael J Linden FCA – Senior Partner at Nyman Linden

Melanie Metcalf CIPD - a practising HR Interim Manager

The event, sponsored by Veredus (voted the leading interim management service provider in the IIM’s Interim Management Survey) and Lawspeed, will be held at The Hatton, Covent Garden, London.  The panel discussion will be followed by a buffet and networking event.

Tickets are &pound15 for IIM members and &pound25 for non-members.  Further information is available, and placed can be booked, online at:
