FDM Group recruits over 600 graduates in seven months

The UK’s largest IT graduate employer has just reached its target for the second quarter of 2011 by recruiting 618 graduates in the last seven months.

After doubling its recruitment drive to 1,000 in January 2011, FDM Group has received over 18,000 applications for its highly successful two-year graduate scheme.

The company is renowned for offering a unique combination of technical training and commercial experience, which has seen the firm scoop awards such as the “Best Technical Graduate Recruiter” of 2010.

FDM graduate trainees are offered a 12-16 week training programme in Project Management Office, Application Support, Development, Testing and Infrastructure. After this period graduates become fully-fledged IT Consultants and are placed within one or more of FDM’s 200 blue-chip clients for a minimum of two years.

Business Support Manager Catherine Cheek said, “Considering we recruited approximately 550 graduates throughout 2010, this is a phenomenal achievement for us and a true testament to all the hard work we are putting into supporting IT graduates.”

FDM Group has helped over 2,500 graduates to date kick start their IT careers and with a phenomenal expansion across Europe, Asia and the US, the company currently employs graduates all over the world.

FDM’s Wall Street office has now reached full capacity and FDM will soon be extending its employment opportunities across Asia.

Chief Operating Officer Sheila Flavell said, “This is an exciting time for FDM. We are continuing to grow at a rapid rate and aim to support thousands of graduates on an international scale in the coming years.”
