One in five workers would consider sleeping their way up the career ladder

A new survey from online recruitment website www.staffbay.comhas found one in five workers would be happy to, or would consider, sleeping with a senior manager to get a promotion. The survey found that men are more open to the prospect of sleeping their way up the career ladder, with 30% of males polled willing to consider it compared to only 8% of women.

The poll from www.staffbay.comasked 5000 job seekers about their career aspirations, revealed that over 7% of workers would unquestionably sleep with a senior manager if it would get them a promotion and 12% would consider it.

Tony Wilmot, founder of staffbay.com said "These results are really shocking, especially the huge differences between men and women's attitude to this. Office affairs are not the best idea, senior managers already have a position of power, therefore there is no guarantee they will keep their side of the bargain."
