The University is the current Times Higher Education “University of the Year” and is consistently judged to be one of the top ten universities in the UK for teaching and research.  The University is expanding physically and increasing the level of academic and research activity undertaken.  This managed growth is supported by recruitment strategies to attract world-class academic, research and support staff.

With this in mind the University of York has selected Agresso e-Recruiter as its new web-enabled recruitment solution.  Agresso e-Recruiter is an integrated hiring technology solution that streamlines recruiting operations, enabling the University to run an efficient recruitment facility that is fronted with a clear intuitive website.

As vacancies may be spread across the University’s departments, academic and management recruiters may be infrequent users of the system, the solution therefore had to be easy to understand and use.

“We chose Agresso e-Recruiter because it is flexible and configurable, providing a well designed, and adaptable solution for managing worldwide recruitment,” said Rob Hargrave, the University’s HR Shared Services Manager.

Agresso e-Recruiter will also make the application process for potential employees simple via an intuitive web interface. Once applications are submitted the University will then be able to track applications through the recruitment lifecycle.

“We felt the need to have a flexible solution, so that we could adapt to future recruitment changes and manage this within the e-Recruiter product.” says Pat Lofthouse, the University’s HR Director.

Agresso e-Recruiter will be integrated into the University’s Agresso Campus Platform and will interface with the University’s HR system.
