Timothy James Consulting, the senior appointments specialist, are opening a third UK office in Manchester on 31st October due to over 70% growth from 2010’s result.

This recruitment consultancy has demonstrated outstanding growth since 2008, seeing them ranked in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track Top 100 in 2008 and 2009. Chris O’Connell and Peter Bennett co-founders and Managing Directors, hope to be ranked again in 2011, which would make Timothy James Consulting one of the fastest growing companies in the UK for three years in a row.

“By delivering consultative recruitment solutions, recruiting high calibre consultants and matching our formal training commitment to each and every member of staff, our service offering has continually improved,” says O’Connell. “Coupled with our focus on delivering a values driven service to candidates and clients, we have had an outstanding recommendation and referral rate, fuelling our growth.

Five current members of the team are relocating from Bristol to launch the Northern offering, including husband and wife Rory Mullins and Clare Trotter.

“We are very excited about launching the new Manchester office,” says Clare, who has been with Timothy James Consulting for two years as a Divisional Lead in the Bristol office. “The Northern region offers the exciting prospect of being able to work face to face with our current clients on a more regular basis. Manchester is a great city for recruiters to be based in and we are looking forward to a new challenge.”

This is the third UK location for Timothy James Consulting. Starting in Bristol in 2003 with outstanding growth, the firm opened its London offering on 17th May 2010, promptly outgrowing the office premises three times in 14 months, with a significant presence in key markets such as Financial Services and Retail & E-Commerce. Today has seen the launch of the new website,, featuring a video blog, candidate area and which will soon see podcasts and interactive webinars.

“The new website is a clear demonstration of our commitment to our customers,” says O’Connell. “The candidate registration area streamlines the job application process saving busy candidates time and effort. We are also very proud to be able to showcase our clients on our website, including Capita, Lloyds Pharmacy, Nokia Siemens Networks and De La Rue.”

Where next for this Bristol grown firm? “The next office will be international and we’re considering a number of locations” states O’Connell. “The launch of these new locations demonstrates our ambition to be a true market leader in the Senior Appointments space. It is a testament to the strength in depth and the outstanding talent we have in the organisation from the Back Office, Administration, Sales Team and Management throughout who all work collaboratively with a common goal in mind: the Timothy James Consulting customer experience.”
