Pebble People, a new recruitment agency with the backing of a top national recruitment business and yet the in-depth regional knowledge and flexibility of a local company, is set to open its doors in Northampton, today, Tuesday 27 September 2011.

Pebble People is the third Jark Joint Venture in the UK. At its helm is Harry Bowden, a recruitment specialist with 18 years' experience and understanding of the area's local businesses and their specific requirements.

Pebble People will focus on supplying staff to the industrial sector then launch into the commercial and technical sectors towards the end of the year and join the social care market in the early part of 2012. Harry comments:  "My timing couldn't be better as Northampton has just been named as one of the Government's newest enterprise zones. This is fantastic news for the area and for Pebble People as a new SME. It is predicted the scheme will deliver over 7,500 new jobs to the area in just three years, with a forecast o f over 17,000 new jobs across the region by 2021. We plan to be instrumental in the delivery of outstanding and reliable personnel to the area over the initial three years of the scheme and long term."

Pebble People is not a franchise but one in a series of national joint ventures, which aim to give recruitment entrepreneurs the practical and financial support they need to launch their own business. By combining the enthusiasm, entrepreneurship and vision they have for the industry together with t heir regional knowledge you have a winning combination, according to Jark Joint Ventures chairman John Buckman.

When setting up the Jark Joint Ventures initiative John, also the joint founder of Jark plc, felt the best way he could help the recruitment industry recover from the recession and support its talent was to take away most of the stress associated with starting up a company.

He comments: "I want to give entrepreneurs like Harry the chance to be entrepreneurial and not get bogged down by the day-to-day processes that can stand in the way of their success. By concentrating on sales and development, our Joint Ventures have the opportunity to outperform their competitors. Being linked to Jark will enhance opportunities at national level, without losing focus on being successful locally."

Harry continues: "I have already seen major benefits of working as a joint venture recruitment agency. The special combination of big company resource s for items such as IT, payroll, HR and marketing, and small company reliability and commitment will enable us to provide a truly bespoke service that benefits both local businesses and employees. Already the pressure placed on us to accommodate the administrative pressures from compliance and the AWR are eased. The launch processes such as property searching are made that bit easier and are moved on more quickly. It really has made a massive difference."

Harry is no stranger to the Northamptonshire area or the world of recruitment. With 18 years' experience trouble shooting for some of the largest recruitment chains in the country to nurturing some of the smallest, Harry is a ware of all the possible pitfalls and routes to recruitment success. A key part of Harry's success so far is his dedication to providing as high level of service and care to his consultants, as his clients and candidates. He believes retaining quality staff is as vital as recruiting them in the firs t place.

With the company in the process of appointing two recruitment consultants, Pebble People is able to service national contracts with local and specialist industry knowledge and relevant management expertise.
