Second annual GCS Digital Media paintball challenge a success

Cuts, bumps, bruises and broken ribs all part of the festivities!

Looking at the battered and beaten crew of 60 staggering about Tower Bridge on a crisp Friday night earlier this month, one wouldn’t have guessed that the group comprised some of the finest minds in the Digital Media industry...

For the second year running, the GCS Digital Media division threw an intense – and intensely enjoyable – paintball tournament, inviting delegates from the industry’s leading companies to step up to the challenge. The event, involving companies such as Amaze, Sapient and Ogilvy, was a tremendous success, with pizza, pints and paint flowing freely. The winning team, captained  by GCS Digital Media Manager Kevin Board, included representatives from Greenlight, Red Bee Media, TMW and View, with the award for best performance going to Dlair Kadhem of Red Bee.

A competitive streak was brought out in all the competitors, with bumps and bruises all round – although the nod for most impressive injury surely has to go to Myles Anderson from Tobias & Tobias for ending up with broken ribs!

GCS Digital Media now looks to the next batch of social events for its clients and candidates, including a Christmas party, early 2012 day at Wembley for an England football match and a Go-Karting competition.
