Simplicity moves server to new datacentre boasting 100% renewable energy

Simplicity sister company Module IT gets green light for developing sustainable IT solutions and reduces carbon footprint

Mitcheldean-based recruitment sector financial systems supplier, Simplicity, formerly known as CashSimply, has recently moved its hosting services which confirms its position as a leading & lsquo;green business’.

Simplicity’s associate company Module IT, co-located at the group headquarters, provides them with full IT and technical support whilst also boasting its own technology base with a wide variety of businesses, including Jaguar-Land Rover. It counts major national clients in its portfolio of services, from cloud computing to web design and hosting. All technical platforms hosted for Simplicity will now be based on services provided from a new datacentre located in Enfield, London.

The new facility uses 100% renewable energy, has achieved green tax exemptions in the form of Renewables Levy Exemption Certificates (Renewables LECs), and will guarantee that for every unit of grid energy used, an equivalent unit of accredited renewable energy is generated.

Alongside the obvious environmental benefits, Simplicity will also gain from improved bandwidth and speed, enhanced facilities for the maintenance of any hardware, a dedicated server & lsquo;build’ area, and increased access.

“Importantly, we will not only be able to enjoy a state of the art hosting service, but also further establish our sustainable and green credentials which we are always striving to improve internally and externally for our clients to benefit from,” explained David Thornhill, managing director of Simplicity.
