Professional social network Viadeo has released improvements to its flagship hiring solution, Viadeo Recruiter. Following its launch to existing clients in July, the new release enables recruiters to socialise their recruitment processes through targeted job advertising and powerful candidate sourcing tools.

At the heart of Viadeo Recruiter is Talent Bank. This enables a recruiter to dynamically search and refine potential candidates by using regularly updated information on member profiles. Social enhancement allows recruiters to instantly view degrees of separation with potential candidates and subsequently facilitate personal introductions. These attributes enable recruiters to unlock the mass of hidden talent within the Viadeo network and successfully initiate contact with desirable candidates.

Creating Pushed Job Ads allows recruiters to take a proactive approach to recruitment by accurately targeting members with desirable experience and skills. Potential candidates are ranked using a score tool to streamline the selection process. This feature combined with job alerts for defined job role criteria means that recruiters have more time to send on candidate selection.

The unique aspect of Viadeo Recruiter is found in the ability to take personalised approach to initiating contact with candidates and appropriately delivering job profiles to the best talent.

Improved productivity and communication tools

The September release of Viadeo Recruiter includes a number of new enhancements that increase the productivity of recruiters.

“Best match” candidates - following the publishing of a job ad, Viadeo Recruiter instantly mines the network of 35 million members to identify the “best matches”.

Candidate tagging – candidates identified through a Talent Bank search can be grouped using keywords allowing a recruiter to build a pool of potential talent.

Communication management - all communication between recruiters and candidates can be managed using filters to ensure efficient candidate sourcing.

Job Alert Advertising – candidates receive regular alerts to new roles based on their job search criteria. These alerts now include a dedicated section to allow recruiters to communicate their employer brand and job opportunities with candidates.
