LaSalle Strengthens European Business With New Head of Strategic Partnerships

LaSalle Investment Management (LaSalle) today announces the appointment of Chris Brett in the newly-created position of European Head of Strategic Partnerships. Chris will work closely with LaSalle’s existing global client services team, with a focus on the needs of major institutional investors.

Based in London, he will report to Simon Marrison, European CEO and Chief Investment Officer, and also joins the European Management Board.

Simon Marrison, European CEO and Chief Investment Officer said, “We are delighted that Chris is joining the team at such an exciting time for LaSalle.  We are continuing to grow, but in a controlled manner and with total focus on building the appropriate platforms for our clients.  LaSalle has a long history of bespoke client service, and Chris’s appointment is testament to our recognition of the changing demands of global investors and their desire to determine the profile of their real estate investments.

“Chris’s role recognises that an increasing number of major institutional investors are keen to explore larger single transactions in joint-venture or club-style structures. Working with our deep European and global platform, we are now in a stronger position to proactively serve the needs of global investors in the major real estate markets.”

Chris joins LaSalle Investment Management from Jones Lang LaSalle, where he headed the International Desk in London and focused on advising major investors from the Middle East, Asia Pacific and North America on their direct real estate exposure.

Chris Brett said, “I am hugely excited to be part of LaSalle’s growth story, and to build on my experience of working with global investors. I will be working in conjunction with the existing client services team around the globe to further develop LaSalle’s relationships with institutional investors both within Europe and globally.”

LaSalle invests in real estate, with a primary objective of delivering competitive investment performance whilst striving to achieve the highest levels of client service. The company has a global reach with nearly 700 employees in 16 countries worldwide with nearly US$48 billion of assets under management.
