Maximus go to Monte Carlo to celebrate 10 years

Maximus, the specialist IT staffing solutions provider, has celebrated its tenth and most successful year in business in the best way possible – by taking the entire company to the French Riviera and the casinos of Monte Carlo.

Both consultants and the senior management team descended on the notoriously decadent Principality last week to celebrate in the firm’s success and achievements over the last ten years. And surrounded by luxurious yachts, Lamborghini’s and casinos on every street corner, Monte Carlo provides the ideal backdrop for celebrating a landmark anniversary in the company’s history. Andrew Thurstans, Oracle Team Leader, described the celebrations as “an experience of a lifetime.”

Launched in 2001, Maximums’ innovative approach and specialist knowledge of the rapidly developing ERP and Database markets has seen the company build and increasing global portfolio of clients and confirm its position as one of the UK’s leading provider of SAP and Oracle professionals in the UK. In 2012, the business will be relocating to larger, purpose-built offices in the capital to accommodate their growth plans, with existing staffing levels expected to double within 6 months.

Recognised as one of the UK's fastest growing companies in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 listing – the only ERP recruitment consultancy ever to be featured - and the first recruiter in the UK to achieve Oracle Gold Partner status, Maximus have worked with over 130 FTSE-100 NASDAQ-listed companies since its inception.

Satnam Brar, managing director of Maximus, said: “The company’s growth has been driven by our commitment to providing only the best available talent for all of our clients and our commitment to developing our own staff, who have all become specialists within their field. This combination underpins everything that Maximus stands for. We believe that the next ten years will bring continued growth for the company as we expand our reach across a number of global markets.

“While there have been fluctuations in demand within IT recruitment in recent years, demand for ERP and Database specialists by contract has remained relatively immune to downward turn that affected the industry as a whole. Since the recession, organisations have embraced ERP systems as a means to streamline their operations in terms of effectively managing supply chains and required staffing levels, but also as a tool to acquire greater business intelligence and increase market share. And with 2 in 3 UK businesses now running some sort of ERP system, the prospects for ERP recruitment over the next ten years remain very positive with as many a 50 per cent and 11 per cent rise in the number of organisations planning to invest in Cloud and Mobile computing respectively over the next three to five years - as ERP evolves so too will our overall service offering to our clients.”

Andrew Thurstans added: “Hard work, dedication and a great team environment combined with a passion for success is what has created the success of the company over the previous ten years and will continue to hold us in good stead for the following ten years.”

Despite unpredictable and testing market conditions within the recruitment industry in recent years, Maximus has continued to successfully buck the trend to mark their tenth anniversary in business with record billings. Since the start of 2011, the company has seen a 100 per cent rise in the number of new mandates for specialist SAP and Oracle professionals throughout the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Asia) markets and increasingly North America.
