New Freelance Biz-kit is tea-rrific for independent professionals

Today sees the launch of PCG’s free & lsquo;Guide to Freelancing’, a roadmap to successfully running a freelancing business for both start-ups and seasoned professionals.

The 80 page e-book is available free to download and produced by PCG, the professional association representing freelancers. It stems from thousands of years of contracting experience from PCG’s members and associates and is designed to save freelancers time and money.

The guide is jam-packed full of business advice and tips for the UK’s 1.4 million freelancers, from tax planning to marketing and PR and everything in between.

John Brazier, PCG Managing Director commented: “This guide is a must read for all freelancers. It is the culmination of 10 years of problem finding and solving from everyone associated with PCG. Through our forums, members, associates and advisors this combines thousands of years of freelancing wisdom.”

“As a business support organisation we are asked these key questions daily and we have constantly challenged ourselves on the right information to give out. With this guide we have done the ground work so that freelancers can get on working with their clients.”

To mark the launch, which comes seven weeks ahead of National Freelancers Day 23 November 2011, PCG are challenging freelancers on their knowledge of the sector with a light hearted online quiz asking are you “fit-to-freelance?”

Mr Brazier continued: “This fun quiz is aimed at testing freelancers at all stages in their career whilst also carrying a serious message. Freelancers don’t need to learn it all from scratch, our core mission is to ensure they get support and advice in every stage of running their freelance business.”
