New insight training module launched to support growing numbers of interim managers

The Interim Management Association (IMA) has appointed leading training specialist, the Interim Hub Ltd, to provide introductory workshops for the growing number of individuals who are considering a career in interim management.

The new workshop is titled the & lsquo;IMA Interim Induction Workshop’ and has been specially developed to give real insights as to the role of an interim manager, and to help new and aspiring interim managers decide whether it is the right career choice for them, as well as giving advice as to which interim providers may be best suited to support professional placements.  

These one-day workshops will run twice a month, aiming to help newcomers to the interim market make an informed decision about whether interim management is the right life choice for them.   Delegates receive essential coaching in key areas such as developing their value propositions, working through a limited company, and basic self-marketing skills including the importance of working with interim providers.

Chairman of the IMA, Jason Atkinson, reinforces that the new introductory workshops will have a positive impact on the entire sector and continue to drive and shape the high standards that currently exist:

“We see this new training module as an important milestone in supporting the next generation of interim managers.  With a stringent referral system in place across the entire IMA membership (some 27 interim providers), there will eventually be between 50-100 candidates attending the workshop every month.  By providing these candidates with a high level of guidance at the beginning of their interim career, we are ensuring that they will be well-informed, fully committed to interim, and will be equipped to carry out and complete their assignments to an exceptional standard”.
