Remploy Employment Services reinforces its commitment to disabled employment

Remploy Employment Services is reinforcing its commitment to fully inclusive recruitment of disabled people by signing up to an independent review of its recruitment practices through the & lsquo;ClearAssured’ programme.

The UK’s leading provider of employment services for disabled people supported more than 20,000 people into mainstream employment last year.

Working in partnership with The Clear Company, Remploy Employment Services recognises the need for the UK workforce to develop best practice and continuous improvement in employing disabled people.

Beth Carruthers, Director of Remploy Employment Services, said: “We are proud to announce our commitment to being ClearAssured. As a leading provider of employment services for disabled people, organisations and individuals expect us to be achieving the highest standards.

“The Clear Company will help us to maintain these high standards and create greater equality in employment for disabled people.”

Trailblazers for inspiring, educating and empowering employers, The Clear Company has developed an online product (ClearKit) as an easily accessible tool to equip organisations with knowledge and expertise regarding disability and inclusion in recruitment.

Kate Headley, development director at The Clear Company, added: “Remploy Employment Services provides essential services to support disabled people in their access to work. The work it does reaches out to the people furthest away from the job market, helping employers to access talent that in other circumstances may not have been found.

“Remploy is setting a great example for others. The organisation is not assuming it has everything right and is ready to learn from others. Its expertise will add great value to the Clearkit community, set up to share expertise and experience with more than a thousand employers to empower them to tap into a wider talent pool.”
