TalentPuzzle welcomes reed.co.uk’s new Exchange venture
The recent entry into the market by high street recruiter reed.co.uk, has shown that online recruitment marketplace systems are rapidly gaining ground in the UK. That’s according to Virginia Raemy, CEO of TalentPuzzle (www.talentpuzzle.com), the UK’s first and largest recruitment marketplace linking employers and recruitment agencies across all industries and job functions.
“The recent arrival of reed.co.uk’s Exchange will, I suspect, lead to an increased interest from organisations looking for an innovative way to fill niche vacancies with high level candidates” comments Raemy. “The fact that reed.co.uk has followed our lead into this space – albeit belatedly – will mean that companies will really have to sit up and take notice. Many high profile businesses including Iceland Foods Limited and Legal & General are already using our platform and we now expect others to quickly follow suit. reed.co.uk’s new launch is a great validation for us and is indicative of the way the recruitment market is evolving - we welcome the addition of Exchange to open up competition”.
However Raemy highlights that unlike reed.co.uk’s new platform, independence is the main advantage of the TalentPuzzle system. “Our extensive research prior to our launch in 2009, illustrated just how important it is for agencies to work with an independent partner when it comes to submitting candidate CVs. We have yet to see how comfortable consultancies will be when they have to upload potential CV’s to a platform that is owned by one of their competitors. With TalentPuzzle there simply isn’t this risk”.
Furthermore, Raemy notes that the new system by reed.co.uk has added costs. “reed.co.uk’s Exchange appears to charge employers a 2% fee on top of the recruitment fee – something that Talent Puzzle doesn’t– our system is free for employers”.
