Recruiter’s efforts results in over £3k for children’s charity.
Despite the difficult economic conditions, Southampton based construction recruiter One Way Resourcing has spent the last year tirelessly supporting Naomi House, a children’s charity which offers free respite and end of life care to families in need.
They not only entered a team for the Great South Run but also organised a sponsored skydive, got all their team members out labouring on site and just last week organised a very successful golf day.
“Even at such a critical time in the year for construction we found ourselves supported by 32 well-wisher’s, all keen to take part on a particularly cold and wet 18 holes, kindly contributing their time and money to this meaningful cause,” said Mike Ward of One Way’s Construction professional’s Division. “All proceeds from each experience have gone into the pot and we have smashed our donation goal of £2500 and have now raised well over £3000”
Lauren Shields, Corporate Fundraiser at Naomi House, said “We were thrilled to hear that the company’s fundraising has reached over £3,000 to date, beating their original target of £2,500. The company have all worked so hard and should be very proud of this result which could support many, many families through good days, difficult days and last days. ”
