Ketchum Pleon Brings in Healthcare Digital Strategist Andrew Lamb

to Further Evolve Agency’s Award-Winning Work

Ketchum Pleon’s London office, recently named PRWeek International Consultancy of the Year, today announced the hire of Andrew Lamb as Digital Strategist, Healthcare. Andrew will use his digital expertise to identify further communication opportunities for pharmaceutical clients for both the healthcare PR team and Inspired Science, the agency’s medical education offering.

“As doctors, patients and health industries embrace search engines, smart phones, tablets, apps, and social media networks to find and share information, digital expertise has become the new imperative in healthcare communications,” said Amanda Sefton, Managing Director, Healthcare, Ketchum Pleon London. “At the same time, the stringent regulatory and ethical demands of the healthcare industry make a deep understanding of the various constraints and best practices in this arena essential.”

Through the integrated use of earned media both online and offline, Ketchum Pleon and and its Inspired Science offering have already built compelling creative content for a range of global clients, whilst listening to and communicating with audiences in novel and effective ways. Building on this, Andrew, in this newly created role, will enhance the growth of Ketchum’s healthcare digital expertise, tapping into the wealth of experience and knowledge that already exists across the Ketchum network.

“As digital strategist for healthcare, I’m looking forward to working with the digital and healthcare experts across the Ketchum network, ensuring our clients embrace opportunities for online engagement and communication. With this special combined support of Ketchum Pleon and Inspired Science, we are confident that we can help our clients navigate the complex regulatory environment to communicate powerfully and ethically with key audiences as they increase their online communications,” said Andrew.

Andrew previously worked at Ogilvy Healthworld Medical Education, where he led the digital offering and worked on projects for clients such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Roche, Boehringer Ingelheim, and AstraZeneca.

In October, Ketchum Pleon London was recognized with a PRWeek award in the healthcare category in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons for client Allergan.
