Local recruitment company success offers hope for jobseekers in the region

Advanced Resource Managers reap rewards on the local and national stage as their business continues to grow in 2011

Hampshire-based recruitment and talent management consultancy Advanced Resource Managers have finished 2011 on a high despite the economic downturn due to growing job placements and recognition in a number of prestigious awards.

Earlier this year, the company’s Board of Directors was awarded the RBS Hampshire Business Management Team of the Year, but they are quick to point out that the success doesn’t all come from the top. Managing Director Mike Gawthorne said,

“We were delighted with this award, and all the recognition Advanced Resource Managers has received this year. However, we know that it’s due to everyone in our hardworking team, not just at board level. We value the contribution of everyone in the company, and invest in our staff and their training so that we can empower them to succeed.”

The approach has clearly paid off, leading to the company being shortlisted in two categories at the Institute of Recruitment Professionals awards, including the best medium company to work for, and at the RecruitRank awards, hosted by online recruitment advertiser Jobsite and based on the feedback of job seekers who are at the sharp end of the recruitment industry. The professional accolades don’t end there – the company were also recognised at the National Online Recruitment Awards (NORAs) for their own internal recruitment website as they sought to find new staff to join the growing consultancy.

Given this success, the company’s appearance on the recent Solent 250 only reinforced that the company has become a force to be reckoned with both in the region and in the professional arena.

Mike Gawthorne added,

“There’s no doubt that it’s a difficult time to be in recruitment, but the prospects aren’t as black as the media paints it. We have a hardworking team and quality processes in place to ensure that our staff are well prepared for the current economic situation and understand the plight of job seekers. There are jobs out there, and we train our staff to place the right people in those roles. We’re delighted that this results in recognition for the company and our team. We’re all looking forward to 2012 with optimism.”
