RSG BEATS ITS 10K FUNDRAISING TARGET FOR 2011

National recruitment organisation Resource Solutions Group Plc (RSG), which has its HQ in Bristol, has raised almost &pound13,000 this year for charity – smashing an initial target of &pound10,000 set at the beginning of 2011.

RSG is one of the largest providers of staffing and resourcing solutions in the UK and operates a Matched Giving Scheme, through which every member of staff is entitled to claim up to &pound400 each calendar year towards a charity of their choice.

This scheme has helped the Clifton-based firm raise approx. &pound12,734 in sponsorship from clients, candidates, suppliers, friends and family as part of its Community CSR commitment to raise at least &pound10,000 for charity.

RSG consultants from across the 160 strong organisation, have trekked, cycled, climbed and run over 500 miles over the past 12 months for charities such as Mums Love Orphanage in Ghana, Bristol Rugby Community Foundation, Regain and Action Medical Research.

The charitable activities have included a walk from Bristol to the Gower, South Wales, a climb up the UK’s largest mountain, two 10k runs, a half marathon, a 100 mile cycle ride and a 40 mile walk.

Mike Beesley, CEO of RSG, said: “I firmly believe that business success and CSR go hand in hand. Defining the true accomplishments of a business today goes far beyond growth and service excellence. We recognise the importance of giving back, not only to the locality in which we operate, but to charities which are close to the hearts of our employees, clients, candidates and suppliers.”

RSG’s wider CSR policy also covers employees, equal opportunities, health and safety, environmental, waste and energy through programmes such personal career training and development, occupational health and safety systems and waste reduction initiatives.
