Blank releases December UK Employment Outlook releases December UK Employment Outlook has released its December Employment Outlook, highlighting national and regional market outlooks.

Britain experienced double-digit year-over-year job creation in December. An increase in nationwide job vacancies of 16.7% year-over-year and 8.7% month-over-month gives job seekers another reason to celebrate this festive season.

Regional findings include:

Sheffield experienced double-digit job gains nearly every month of 2011, and continued that trend with a 22.4% growth, the highest month-over-month increase in the country.

The cold December weather contributed to a 7.4% month-over-month drop in job vacancies in Blackpool, which is heavily reliant on tourism. In July, Blackpool experienced the highest month-over-month job gains at 25.4%.
