A recruitment specialist on the South Coast has played an instrumental role in sourcing the right candidate for a top job in the UK’s private medical insurance sector.

The executive search arm of Rubicon People identified Neil Buckley, who had been working in the Middle East, for innovative UK health insurer PruHealth.

PruHealth, whose members receive rewards and benefits for healthy lifestyles, has offices in London and Bournemouth.

The company was on the hunt to fill the vacant position of chief information officer.

Rubicon People, headquartered in High Street, Poole, Dorset, recently won a tender, which 12 recruitment consultancies competed for, to provide permanent and temporary staff for PruHealth, along with two other agencies.

Mr Buckley, a keynote speaker for industry, specialises in global strategy, leadership, transformation, technology, retail banking, capital markets, insurance and financial services.

He has had director-level roles across the world for organisations including Marsh, ING, General Motors (GMAC), Merrill Lynch, Bankers’ Trust and Norwich Union.

Simon Dawson, Rubicon People’s permanent placements specialist, with a special focus on marketing, digital and communications recruitment, said: “We have supplied specialist marketing and technical staff to PruHealth for some time and the hiring of Mr Buckley rounds off a record year to date for us regarding the placements of permanent staff.”

Twenty-strong Rubicon People works with more than 100 businesses in Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Somerset.
