New partnership makes inclusive recruitment practice easier for UK companies

UK COMPANIES keen to improve their recruitment procedures will benefit from a new partnership between two companies.

The Clear Company and jobs board DiversityJobs.co.uk have joined forces to deliver practical solutions to companies keen to improve their recruitment policies and practices but unsure where to start when faced with a sea of information and employment law.

The Clear Company helps public, private and third sector organisations remove barriers to diversity by creating best practice models and enabling continual assessment throughout the recruitment and talent management lifecycle.

Several organisations, including BT, Home Office and Eon Energy, currently hold the quality status of Clear Assured, while over seventy others are actively working towards the certification.

DiversityJobs.co.uk reaches 20 million searches each month for the vacancies it carries on behalf of organisations keen to be known as inclusive employers of talent, irrespective of gender, ethnicity disability, age and sexual orientation.

Kate Headley, development director at The Clear Company, said:  “This is a perfect partnership for many reasons.  Our member organisations will benefit from substantial discounts – up to 50 per cent in some cases - when they advertise jobs with Diversity Jobs.

“More than the financial incentive, this partnership means The Clear Company can now offer a complete, closed loop, package to organisations keen to implement and maintain inclusive recruitment practices.  As well as helping put good policy and practice in place and ensuring on-going implementation through continual assessment and training, we are now also able to offer direct access to a provider of talent.

“DiversityJobs.co.uk is a very special site that I urge people to visit.  Its unique functionality ensures it reaches the widest possible cross section of society and gives the broadest range of people access to the jobs it features.

“It’s Microsoft approved technology & lsquo;speaks’ to jobseekers in over 40 languages and has adjustable colours and text sizes.  Information can even be downloaded as an MP4 file to listen to later.  It really does work well to make the recruitment process as inclusive and accessible as possible.”

Morgan Lobb, managing director of DiversityJobs.co.uk, said:  “In a relatively short space of time, Clear Assured has established itself as the quality benchmark for inclusive recruitment in the UK.  This partnership will bring strategic business benefits to both our companies, as well as to our respective clients, customers and members.

“We share the same values and goals, namely to help employers become more inclusive in their recruitment practices so that job seekers have the assurance they will be treated in a fair and inclusive way.

“With our combined strength and passion, we will continue contributing towards a more inclusive and fairer society.”
