On Thursday 26th January 2012 the team at Spencer Hunt, a global executive search business based in Altrincham in Cheshire, will be taking part in a 24 hour spinning class at their offices to raise money for Retrak.
With spinning bikes kindly loaned by Total Fitness in Altrincham, the team of six will be pedaling through the night from 10:30am on Thursday to 10:30am on Friday, with help from Sam Rodman who plays for Wilmslow Wolves Rugby Club who is sponsored by Spencer Hunt. Food and refreshments for the team are generously being provided by local businesses Yogberries in Hale and The Boardroom in Wilmslow and the event is being streamed live on the internet.
Every year Spencer Hunt pledges to raise money for various charities and this year they are fundraising for Retrak, a UK based charity who are dedicated to helping street children in Africa. In addition to the spinathon, the team will be competing in an “It’s a Knockout” challenge alongside many of their clients, and conquering the Three Peaks Challenge in September. They also pledge to donate a portion of their clients’ fees to the charity at the end of the year.
