PRESTON  RECRUITMENT AGENCY ATTAINS PERFECT MARKS IN ACCREDITATION FOR SUPPLY TEACHERS SELECTION

Step by Step Education, a specialist education recruitment agency based in Preston has been accredited with the Department for Education’s Quality Mark scoring a perfect 100 per cent in its audit.

Step by Step Education was first awarded the Quality Mark in December 2008 and the company has held the award since then. This further re-accreditation formally acknowledges Step by Step Education’s commitment to achieving and maintaining the highest standards in recruitment selection and vetting of supply teachers.

Step by Step Education, based in Preston offers services in education recruitment across the Lancashire, Wigan, Bolton and Cumbria areas.

The agency was founded in 2007 by Phil Doyle and has quickly gained a reputation for offering an excellent service to schools and nurseries throughout the region.

Phil Doyle, Managing Director, said: “I’m extremely proud and delighted that we have been accredited with the Quality Mark for the fourth consecutive year, with a score of 100%. It is recognition of Step by Step Education’s high standards of recruitment and vetting and gives increased confidence to our schools that our standards are of the highest in the industry.”

Kevin Green, Chief Executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) which manages the Quality Mark scheme, said: “Step by Step Education has again excelled itself in reaching the optimum standard for recruiting supply teachers. The Quality Mark is becoming increasingly recognised within the industry as guaranteeing effective and ethical provision of supply teachers who are so crucial to the lifeblood of schools.”

Supply teachers make an increasingly important contribution to the smooth running of schools. At the same time, it is essential to ensure that the supply staff that are being placed within the schools are of the required standard and have been correctly vetted by the agency supplying them.

Within this context, the Government’s Quality Mark Scheme plays a crucial role by providing a recognisable quality threshold and by promoting high standards in the provision of supply teachers.
