Recruitment agency enjoys record year

RECRUITMENT agency Supertemps has enjoyed a record year with turnover projected to show an increase of more than 30 per cent.

A growing trend for permanent placements and key project wins including a contract to fill more than 70 roles at St Dunstan’s charity facility in Llandudno are behind the firm’s success.

Year-on-year growth for the agency’s first quarter to December 2011 has also been strong, with permanent placements almost doubling and temporary sales up 28 per cent on the same period in 2010.

Supertemps expanded during 2011 to meet the extra demand, hiring extra staff and opening a second office in Parc Menai to better serve businesses in Gwynedd and Anglesey.

Managing Director Sarah Ellwood said: “Despite the downturn our 2010-2011 financial year was the best we’ve had in the company’s recent history.

“We were determined not to be fazed by the economic gloom and doom and build on our strengths instead, delivering on our promises and going the extra mile for our clients and candidates.

“We’ve improved our online service and opened a new office to service a wider area. This will ensure we are in an even stronger position to continue building on the gains we’ve made in the past 12 to 15 months.”

Supertemps is the longest established independent agency in the region and has business clients and potential employees across North Wales and into the North West of England.

The firm has a mix of private and public sector clients seeking temporary and permanent employees across different skill sectors including accountancy and finance, IT, catering and hospitality, engineering, and commercial/office support.
