Top recruitment company gap personnel has struck gold after achieving the highest accolade awarded by the UK’s leading people management standard Investors in People.
The company has won a gold award – achieved by just 1% of UK organisations and widely recognised as an accomplishment of world-class best practice.
The gold award is regarded as being the mark of a truly cutting-edge organisation, operating at the very highest levels of people management practice.
gap personnel employs a wide range of staff development tools including management training, role models schemes and flexible and part-time working.
Gary Dewhurst, managing director of gap personnel, said: “Achieving gold in Investors in People is great news and is a terrific tribute to the loyalty and dedication of our workforce who work hard in our branches across the country.
“Employees are at the heart of our organisation as we believe an effective, happy workforce is crucial to the success of our company.
“Investing in our staff, their expertise, well-being and practices, is central to the way we work. By developing our people, we continue to be leading edge in our field and way ahead of our competitors.”
To achieve IIP gold status, companies undergo a rigorous assessment by Investors in People, and must show exceptional working practices in areas such as people management leadership staff involvement and empowerment work/life balance and health and well being of staff.
An Investors in People spokesman said: “Achieving gold accreditation is a tremendous achievement.
“It demonstrates a commitment to the development and success of your people and a desire to continually improve and grow.”
The award follows news that gap personnel has again been awarded Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for - for five consecutive years.
gap personnel is one of the country’s fastest-growing independent recruitment agencies. It is now the UK’s eighth largest industrial labour provider, placing up to 5,000 temporary workers per week and covering more than 1.5m shifts a year.
