NRL increases staff by almost a quarter to cater for company growth

Recruitment business NRL Ltd has seen its levels of in-house permanent staff increase by 23% over a 12 month period ending 31stDecember 2011, with employee numbers shooting up from 88 to 108.

The new employees are based within NRL’s head office and seven branch offices in England and Scotland. They include business development managers, recruitment consultants for temporary and permanent positions, administrators and specialist accounts staff.

“The increased staffing levels have come about as the company has gained new contracts and expanded in several key markets,” explains Mike Barber, NRL’s MD. “Rail and NDT (non-destructive testing) are two industry sectors where we’ve been particularly busy – our workload has increased in these areas over the last year, and in addition we have significantly expanded our permanent recruitment capability.

“To cater for our growing requirement for internal staff, we launched a recruitment campaign at the start of 2011 which is still ongoing in 2012. We have succeeded in attracting several experienced consultants and managers as well as undertaking a graduate recruitment campaign which has proved very successful.”

NRL, which is privately owned and was established in 1983, recently gained APSCo membership.
