Online assessment tool and microsite launched to clarify the complex area of international healthcare for global recruitment professionals

Recruitment professionals that advise on international placements can now give guidance on how employers can fulfil their duty of care in terms of healthcare for overseas employees.

Online assessment tool

Jelf Employee Benefits has launched a new online tool aimed at recruitment consultants to help their clients find out just how confident they are when it comes to international healthcare for their new recruits.

It is quick and easy to use, covers key aspects of international health cover and will give employers an immediate indication as to how confident they are in their international healthcare provision.  Employers can download a written report based on their input.

Jelf Employee Benefits has discovered that there is a great lack of knowledge and a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to employers purchasing international healthcare particularly regarding whether they’ve purchased the most appropriate cover at a competitive price.  This interactive online tool will ask about a number of areas including: how confident they are that their policy meets the legal requirements of the countries where their employees work and travel, and whether or not they fully understand the exclusions.  Companies spend a lot of money on international healthcare and, as such, need to be confident that what they’re buying is fit for purpose.

At the same time Jelf Employee Benefits is also launching a brand new microsite with the objective to provide tightly-focused, user-friendly information on the key aspects of international private medical insurance to:

companies that have staff working abroad

companies that are considering sending staff abroad

It is easy to read, is in plain English and is designed to demystify the often complex world of international healthcare.  It also offers access to a specialist international team of eight at Jelf Employee Benefits which specialise solely in international healthcare for both employers and individuals.

Sarah Dennis, international healthcare director for Jelf Employee Benefits says: “Getting the benefits right is an important part of recruitment, international healthcare can be more complex than recruitment professionals realise.  A good starting point is to gauge understanding to see just how confident employers are in what they’re offering, and this new online assessment tool does just that.  Legislation is complex and constantly changing in this area and it’s imperative that employers have the most appropriate advice and guidance, our microsite is clear and easy to use and is a useful first port of call for employers.”

The online assessment tool is launched today and can be found at
