THOMAS MIELKE BECOMES ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR AT HVS EXECUTIVE SEARCH

Global executive search specialist HVS Executive Search has announced that Thomas Mielke has been appointed an Associate Director, joining the company’s Partnership Track programme.

London-based Mielke joined HVS Executive Search in 2008 as an Associate. He has worked on assignments across the EMEA region, placing senior executives at companies including Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Worldwide and Invesco Real Estate.

“I am delighted to have been made an Associate Director at HVS Executive Search,” he commented. “The executive recruitment sector is particularly challenging and rewarding as clients seek executives with a broad set of skills and experience to enable them to steer their teams through the current market challenges.”

Mielke has assisted companies with searches ranging in functional expertise from real estate and asset management to operations, technical services and brand management.

He is the co-author of HVS’s annual European Corporate Governance Study and also helped establish its biennial review of CEO turnover at the world’s 50 largest hotel companies.

Mielke is a qualified executive search consultant and acts as an examiner on behalf of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC). Prior to joining HVS, he worked in Germany and Spain, including with Jones Lang LaSalle focusing on hotel market studies and research publications.

Born in Spain and of Swiss-German origins, Mielke is fluent in German, Spanish, French and English. He graduated from Ecole h&ocircteli&egravere de Lausanne and holds a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management specialising in Resort and Leisure Development.
