Timothy James Consulting scoop double award at The Sunday Times ceremony 2012

Bristolgrown Senior Appointments firm Timothy James Consulting last night won the double accolade of being awarded the highest level 3 star accreditation from Best Companies as well as being named the 12th Best Small Company to Work for 2012 by The Sunday Times.

The Sunday Times Best Companies award evaluates companies from all sectors and is not exclusive to recruitment. It spans every possible type of organisation and is ratified by a completely independent survey sent to each individual in the company with the results being calculated by a panel of experts. Entry criteria are based on a number of things, primarily focussed on employee engagement, culture, environment and customer service.

This is Timothy James Consulting’s second consecutive year of featuring on this list, highlighting the company’s ability to ensure employees still feel engaged, positive about their workplace and an integral part of the organisation despite rapid growth rate and the increase in headcount from 45 to 60 heads. 99% of employees interviewed felt they had a positive future ahead of them at the organisation and areas that saw an improvement in results from last year included & lsquo;Leadership’, & lsquo; My Company’ and & lsquo;Personal Growth’. & lsquo;Giving Something Back’ saw the most notable increase, demonstrating how the company utilised last year’s data positively to introduce more charitable endeavours into the workplace. This has included getting involved with Guys and St Thomas’ on behalf of Tommy’s Baby Charity, a sponsored dress-up for Red Nose Day and the Brighton to London run.

To feature so prominently in a list where over 832 companies entered and 250,000 employees were surveyed (double the amount from last year) is a true testament to the working environment Timothy James Consulting can offer employees. The introduction of a new training and onboarding programme, rolled out at the close of 2011, ensures that every Timothy James Consulting employee becomes inducted into the & lsquo;TJC academy’ from the start, sharing the passion and ethos passed down from CEO Chris O’ Connell.

O’Connell states “It is our second consecutive Sunday Times victory in a row and sits very proudly alongside our many other prestigious awards. The Sunday Times award carries so much credibility it is nationally recognised and demonstrates to everyone we are a significant business, a true exemplar in our field and part of the business elite in the UK. I would like to convey a huge thank you to all my colleagues for helping us achieve a great position for 2012. It’s great to know we are all working cohesively in a nationally acclaimed and award winning environment whilst achieving astonishing revenue and profit growth simultaneously.”

These are the third and fourth awards that the firm, which has offices in Bristol, London and Manchester, have achieved this year. They opened the year by winning their third consecutive The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 award for exponential growth in 2011 as well as being named the 2nd fastest growing recruitment business in 2012 by The Recruiter’s Fast 50 list. Industry recognition such as this compounds Timothy James Consulting’s position as market leaders and thought leaders at the forefront of their sector. To receive the accolade of being listed in The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for rankings for 2012 is a further nod to the strength of this rapidly growing firm, whose aspirations reach beyond the UK to down under, where they plan to open their first office abroad in Sydney at the close of 2012.
