Arrows Group name The Katie Piper Foundation as their charity of the year in 2012

Arrows Group, the London and Amsterdam based professional sector recruitment specialist, have nominated The Katie Piper Foundation as their charity of the year for 2012/2013.

The staff in Arrows Group Waterloo offices will be undertaking a number of challenges and events to raise funds for the burns charity and aim to raise a total of &pound5,000 across the year. “We’re delighted to support The Katie Piper Foundation in the knowledge that the monies we raise can be used to really make a difference to the lives of burns and scars survivors” says Adrian Treacy, Arrows Group Founder and COO. “We support a different charity each year and are always finding new (and often painful!) ways to fundraise, and encourage as many employees as possible to get involved”.

Launched in July 2010, The Katie Piper Foundation www.katiepiperfoundation.org.uk is a registered charity which aims to make it easier for people to live with burns and scars by progressing extended rehabilitation and scar management for burns survivors, providing information on and access to non-surgical treatments for burns and scars, campaigning for consistent clinical care and developing a support network for people living with burns and scars. The Foundation helps disfigured people to reconnect with their lives and their communities.

Head of Fundraising at The Katie Piper Foundation, Carol Borwick comments, “We’re so grateful for the support of all the staff at Arrows Group and are looking forward to following the exciting and challenging activities they have planned for the year in support of The Katie Piper Foundation. The money raised will help us make a positive difference to burns survivors through life-changing treatments and workshops.”
