Oakwood Ranks in Training Magazine's Top 125 for Seventh Year in a Row

Oakwood, the global leader in furnished and serviced corporate apartments and residences, climbed to No. 39 in Training Magazine's 12th Annual list of the Top 125 companies for outstanding employee training and development programs. This is the seventh consecutive year Oakwood was recognized and the company now ranks as the top provider among other recognized hospitality industry brands. Oakwood's ranking has been rising and shot up 60 spots from No. 99 in 2011 to No. 39 this year.

Oakwood was recognized for its overall commitment to learning and development for its more than 2,500 associates worldwide.  The company's world-class training and development programs are supported by Oakwood University, which features comprehensive classroom and online courses.  Oakwood continually updates its offerings with innovative training and development programs, including a new Career Planning Program which includes an Associate Guide, competencies and training plans matched to associate needs.

"We've made a significant investment in transforming our culture into a best-in-class service organization and an employer of choice," says Ana Castellanos, Oakwood's vice president of Human Resources. "We're deeply committed to giving our associates and leaders all the tools and skills they need to grow and thrive in their careers while providing our customers with top-notch service."

The nation's Fortune 500 companies consider Training's Top 125 list as prestigious.  To be considered, companies must participate in an extensive, multi-phase application process and submit both quantitative and qualitative data. The judges consider many criteria, including staffing levels, training budgets, new workforce development programs, best practices, and talent management before they ultimately decide on the Top 125.

This year's winners were announced on February 13 at a ceremony in Atlanta.  Oakwood joined many highly regarded national and international companies on the list, including Verizon, UPS, Farmers Insurance, MasterCard, MetLife, and Miami Children's Hospital.
