Pertemps named as a Top Employer

Recruitment giant Pertemps has been handed the honour of featuring as one of Britain’s Top Employers for 2012 after yet another successful year.

Pertemps picked up the prestigious award at an awards event last night at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in central London. The Meriden based company featured as part of a list of 67 independently verified companies that have set the bar over the last year in terms of creating a positive workforce.

The list of Britain’s Top Employers is organised by the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF) and assesses companies that have ranked highly according to benefits, working conditions, training, career development and company culture. Pertemps has featured in the list for the second year running.

Carmen Watson, the Managing Director of Pertemps, said, “A place on the list recognises the strong emphasis Pertemps places on the wellbeing and prospects of its staff. The DNA of our success has been the hard work put in by our staff, often beyond the call of duty.

“Pertemps was founded as a small family business fifty years ago. Even though the staff numbers in Pertemps Network Group have increased to over a thousand, at the heart of our operation is still the close knit community of workers that have been the key to our success.”

Pertemps went through a thorough set of procedures in order to receive the honour of one of Britain’s Top Employers. Independent research carried out by the CRF and audited by Grant Thornton shortlisted, rated and reviewed candidates for the award. They stood out as a leading example of exceptional firms that focuses on providing worker-friendly working conditions. 

The company recently went through a management buyout to create a &pound425 million business by reuniting Pertemps with a former subsidiary, Network Holdings. It will capitalise on its rich heritage and various opportunities within the recruitment sector to further expand.
