Russam GMS launches International division to meet growing demand for Interims overseas

Russam GMS, the award-winning Interim Management provider, has launched an international division – Russam International www.russam-international.com, to meet the growing demand for British Interim Managers to work in international businesses and help UK entrepreneurial businesses expand overseas.

Headquartered in London, Russam International will be sourcing interim specialists from all industry sectors with expertise of working in challenging international markets. With a database of 12,000 interims and extensive search capabilities, the company can deliver interims able to handle the demanding issues associated with operating and developing businesses in global markets.

The company is a founder member of The Taplow Group, www.TaplowGroup.com, an international executive search and interim management group that it works with closely to find resident national interims within specific countries. As a result of this partnership, Russam International can deliver interims managers in 20 different countries.

Jason Atkinson, Managing Director – Russam Interim - will lead the international division. He comments, “Currently around 11% of the interim management market is comprised of international assignments and it is growing fast. Many UK companies need help from specialists with specific experience, an understanding of international markets and great language skills to lead their international expansion projects. A growing number of international firms are also looking to hire UK interims for specific projects. We can supply the right people on both accounts to work virtually anywhere in the world.”

Russam GMS recently surveyed 460 interims working overseas. It found that whilst the majority of international assignments are in Western Europe, demand is emerging from the BRIC nations and Asia. 79% of respondents said that this was because businesses can’t find the skills they need locally and because the & lsquo;British’ interim manager & lsquo;brand’ is prized highly abroad.

The top ten international destinations for British interims are:

Western Europe

Eastern Europe

USA and Canada

Africa

Middle East

South East Asia

Australia and New Zealand

BRIC countries

India

China

Jason Atkinson added, “The interim management market is evolving and we have evolved our business too. We have supplied interims for international assignments for many years but now it is a core part of our offering. We have a new team in place and anticipate our mix of international assignments will comprise between 10-40% of our business within three years.”
