APSCo Qualification Supported by Liquid Friday

As a co-sponsor, Liquid Friday are delighted to support the new RPS online benchmark qualification recently launched by APSCo

Phillip Venn, MD of Liquid Friday umbrella company, is delighted to announce that, in addition to being a co-sponsor of the recently launched Recruitment Practice Standard (RPS) assessment hub, he and his senior members of staff will all be undertaking the RPS1 accreditation, as he strongly supports APSCo’s aim of establishing a & lsquo;universally recognised high-quality benchmark for the professional recruitment sector’ with the launch of this essential toolkit and qualification.

The online RPS assessment hub, (http://recruitmentpracticestandard.com) was created by APSCo together with Innergy, a management consultancy and training provider specialising in the recruitment sector. It was introduced in order to raise the standards of UK recruiters and ensure that they meet an acceptable level of qualification and training.

The RPS is a unique web-based assessment hub and examination centre for professional recruiters. It has three levels of assessment based on how long an employee has been working in recruitment, with each assessment comprehensively covering the key areas of knowledge expected at that level.

Once recruiters have passed the assessments, this will allow them to display the RPS initials after their names as proof of their level of knowledge and proficiency. Participating recruitment companies will also be able to display the RPS logo on their websites to demonstrate their commitment to staff development. Each assessment has approximately 120 questions, split into six modular categories, which are randomly picked by the system from a library of questions to ensure that no two examinations are the same.

Phillip Venn said: “We are keen to support the continued professionalisation of the industry and to work with companies dedicated to raising the bar as well as demonstrate their understanding of the sector. I will be putting myself and my senior members of staff at Liquid Friday through the RPS1 process, as this shows that we have a genuine passion and desire to understand the sector in order that we may better support it.

Through our position as co-sponsor of the RPS and to further incentivise the industry to undertake the RPS qualification themselves, Liquid Friday will be offering 5 free RPS1 courses for any consultants who would like to secure accreditation. To enter, simply go to: http://www.liquidfriday.co.uk/winrpsexam, answer the multiple-choice questions, enter your contact details and your name will go into our draw. Each winner will also receive a copy of Ann Swain, Chief Executive of APSCo’s book, The Professional Recruiter’s Handbook. We will notify the 5 lucky winners by 31st May 2012.”

Ann Swain said: “At APSCo, we are pleased to see service providers like Liquid Friday take more interest in other parts of the supply chain in which they play a great part and, by supporting RPS, encourage the industry to become even more professional by raising standards in recruitment”.
