Chelsea Apps Factory takes Robert Walters’ job search to mobile App-licants
Easy-to-use recruitment app is first to offer LinkedIn connectivity
Apps consultancy and development house, Chelsea Apps Factory, has announced the launch of a job search App for Robert Walters, the global specialist professional recruitment consultancy. The free Robert Walters Job Search iPhone App allows job-seekers to search the recruiter’s entire database and apply for jobs via their mobile devices. It is the first App to allow users to register themselves and create a CV using their Linkedin profiles.
The easy to use app gives job-seekers the ability to create their own profile based on the sectors they’re interested in and have notifications about job opportunities sent directly to their phone. Additional features of the app include:
• An option to save favourite searches and jobs for review at a later date
• A Robert Walters office-finder to locate the nearest recruitment consultant when you find a job you are interested in
• Full integration with iOS, meaning calls and emails can be instigated through the app
Currently available in the UK, Robert Walters will roll the app out to 22 territories worldwide and have it translated into 12 languages over the next few months. The recruitment consultancy plans to follow the launch of Robert Walters Job Search with the release of Salary Checker apps for iOS and Android devices in Q2 the apps will allow jobseekers to study wage data and compare their own salaries against those in the rest of the marketplace and will also be produced by Chelsea Apps Factory.
Phil Jenkins, Head of Digital at Robert Walters, commented: “Anyone who’s ever spent time hunting for their dream position knows that it can be very difficult to stay on top of all the information about the job market that exists out there on the web, and even more difficult to cut through it and find what they need. Robert Walters Job Search is the only global recruitment app on the market, and it addresses these difficulties in a straightforward and user-friendly manner. There’s never been a more important time to make the right career move and this is the first of a suite of apps we’re releasing to make sure jobseekers have the toolkit they need to make the right move for them.”
Mike Anderson, CEO of Chelsea Apps Factory, commented: “Apps are fantastic tools for ordering dauntingly large databases of information like those collected and refined by recruiters like Robert Walters. By taking the user on a carefully designed journey, you can help them home in quickly and easily on the data that’s relevant to them, no matter how much there is to sift through – and that’s exactly what the app we’ve built does. Moreover, by building LinkedIn functionality into an app which also integrates with the core features of the iPhone, we think we’ve produced something which puts the status of a mobile phone as the job-seeker’s most useful asset beyond doubt.”
The Robert Walters Job Search app is available on iPhone and iPad from the Apple App Store. An Android version of the Job Search app is currently in development.
