DHR International Achieves Significant Q1 Growth in its European Life Sciences Practice

DHR International, the privately held global executive search company, is delighted to report significant growth in its European Life Sciences Practice since the acquisition of UK based life science specialists Barrett Webb in November 2011.

Head-count within DHR’s European Life Science division - which is headquartered in St Albans, UK and has offices in Germany, the Netherlands and France - has grown by 25% during the quarter.

In Q1 2012 compared to Q1 2011 the number of European life science assignments have similarly grown by 50% - headline projects in the quarter include the appointment of Chairman, Chief Development Officer, Director of Market Access and Chief Medical Officer for healthcare technology, specialty pharmaceuticals and major biopharma clients.

Sue Rossiter, managing director and practice lead for DHR International’s European Life Sciences Practice, commented:

“Despite the economic clouds that remain over Europe, we are seeing significant demand for our specialist executive services within the European Life Sciences sector. This is being driven by a combination of increasing competition for key leadership talent within Europe and continued growth in life sciences infrastructure in emerging markets around the world. With our deep industry knowledge and global reach, we are excellently positioned to continue benefiting from these trends.”

DHR International’s European Life Science Practice focuses on Board, C-Level, VP and Director appointments in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, consumer healthcare, medical technology, diagnostics and devices, and pharmaceutical services sectors.
