Super CLAN ready to roar again

A PRESTIGIOUS charity car drive returns to the North-east roads for a second successive year promising to be bigger and better than before.

An impressive array of 35 luxury cars including Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, Bentleys and Porsches took part in the inaugural Super CLAN last year.

The event, organised by bespoke oil and gas recruitment specialists Scoro Solutions, raised almost &pound5,000 in aid of cancer charity CLAN Cancer Support during its maiden run with an even bigger target set for 2012.

The fund raising drive will take place on Sunday July 15 this year following a route through the Grampians and will feature more interaction for the travelling convoy this time round.

Susan Crighton, fund- raising manager at CLAN, today thanked the Scoro Solutions directors for fulfilling their commitment to turn the event into an annual fixture.

“We’re extremely pleased that Scoro Solutions has decided to organise the Super CLAN drive for a second successive year,” said Duncan.

“I’m sure we can all build on the undoubted success of the inaugural event and look towards raising even more money for CLAN.

“To raise almost &pound5,000 in the first year of such an event is fantastic and all clients, volunteers and staff at CLAN appreciate the efforts of everyone at Scoro Solutions.”

Scoro director Ross Gatt is again relishing the prospect of driving the much anticipated event forward on to new heights.

He said: “Everyone at Scoro is extremely pleased with how the first Super CLAN turned out and it was great to see so many fantastic cars on show for the event.

“It’s highly rewarding to be able to support such a worthwhile charity like CLAN and we look forward to building on the success of Super CLAN in the future.”

CLAN is an independent charity for anyone affected by any type of cancer at any time from diagnosis onwards.
