Eutopia takes part in London Business School Insight event

- connecting on future of IT, media and telecoms in Dubai

Darren Franks, MD of Eutopia’s Dubai office, was recently invited to take part in an expert panel discussion in Dubai by the London Business School, for its & lsquo;IT, Media and Telecom Insights in the Middle East’ event - the latest in a series of sector-specific forums organised by the School.

Eutopia is one of the leading IT and telecoms recruiters in the Middle East and Darren joined a team of other professionals from across these industries to provide commentary and analysis, and debate a range of observations and recent trends affecting IT, media and telecoms in the region, in front of an audience of students and alumni from the School and other industry experts.

The event took place on 26th April 2012, with seven regional participants from the industries’ international game-changers taking part, including News Group International, OSN and Google. A recruitment Q&A followed the discussion, with Darren representing Eutopia, alongside representatives from Microsoft, Delta Partners, DU and Boyden to take questions from the 111-strong audience.

Daniela Sfeir, Senior Business Development Manager at London Business School’s Dubai Centre said: “We are proud to host another very successful sector-specific, industry event.  We have welcomed a host of top professionals from these fields to debate the opportunities and challenges facing technology, media and telecommunications in the region and our community has felt truly enriched from their participation in the event.”

The panel were moderated by Eithne Treanor of ETreanor Media, who is a global media strategist with extensive experience in the Middle East.

Darren Franks, Managing Director MEA at Eutopia, said: “I want to thank London Business School for stepping forward as a pivotal hub for internally-focussed companies and high calibre graduates to meet and exchange ideas. The event was a great platform for us to access top talent on behalf of our regional and global market-leading clients in those sectors.  Eutopia looks forward to continued and closer collaboration with the School in the future.”

The School recently celebrated its fifth anniversary with a series of talks at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) from senior faculty members, Andrew Scott, Deputy Dean and Professor of Economics, Nirmalya Kumar, Professor of Marketing and Christopher Hennessey, Professor of Finance.  London Business School’s faculty are recognised globally for their contribution to thought leadership, and the School is recognised by recruiters as consistently delivering outstanding and highly sought-after graduates to the jobs market.
