Voting opens for new REC Council members

Voting is now open for elections to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) Council. This year there are 10 Council positions to be elected: seven Corporate Directors and three Individual Directors.

The Council is the governing body of the REC and supervises the work of the Executive in delivering the organisation’s vision of leading a successful and respected recruitment industry that is recognised for its positive contribution to UK plc.

All eligible voting members can cast their vote online, via a postal vote or in person at the REC Annual General Meeting on 13th June. Instructions on how to vote have been sent to all members who are eligible to vote.

This year the REC is also providing members with the opportunity to put questions to the candidates about their plans and priorities if elected to the Council.

Commenting as the voting opened REC chief executive Kevin Green said:

“As a membership body we rely on our members to give us the insights, intelligence and market information to represent our industry at the highest levels of government and to deliver quality services to our members. Our Directors’ commitment to the development of the REC is vital in ensuring we remain a representative and dynamic organisation.

“As the representative body and professional institute for the recruitment industry, it is important that our members take part in electing the Directors who will act on behalf of their interests on our governing body. Online voting makes it easy for all members to exercise their democratic right to select the people they want to serve on the REC Council.”
