Olympics Jobs Legacy Says Greythorn

Mark Baxter, director of recruiter Greythorn comments on the employment legacy of the Olympic Games, in response to GfK research that the majority of Brits are indifferent to the Olympics

“While people may not be hugely enthused by the games themselves, if they look beyond the two weeks of sport, they may find other things to excite them. The games will deliver a boost of &pound5.1bn to the economy and the legacy of London looks set to be stronger than any of the past five games. There will be 103,000 permanent and temporary jobs created which will exceed the 77,000 created by Atlanta and the 20,000 created by Barcelona, and at a time like this, that might make even the most hardened naysayer smile.”
