The Best Connection Group Appoints Bid Manager

Leading Flexible Workforce Management Company, The Best Connection Group,has appointed Mike Gater as Bid Manager.  The new role will assist the company in developing its public sector business and major opportunities in private enterprise.

Gater brings over 14 years’ experience in finance and bid management to the role, having held senior positions at Spring Group and Jark plc. 

“I am delighted to be joining The Best Connection at this juncture in the company’s development.  It is a huge opportunity to assist with driving new business growth.   My role will support the sales teams in compiling and responding to Local Government, NHS and Higher Education tenders and framework agreements  in order to grow market share,” said Gater.

Gater will provide the primary interface between finance and sales, operations, IT and key clients.

“We have created this exciting new role to address the time and focus required in putting together successful, commercially viable, large bid responses.  Mike has the breadth of experience to help The Best Connection to achieve this across our target sectors.  His role will greatly assist sales in delivering consistency and maximising opportunities,” commented Neil Yorke, Director, The Best Connection.

The Best Connection, which celebrated its 20th anniversary, last year, operates 63 branches throughout the UK.  The company supplies 12,500 temporary workers per week and services over 8,500 clients.  Job creation is focused at a local level through local branches and as a result the company has become a major recruitment conduit to local communities through job centres.
