86% of Head-hunters believe senior executives job-hunt for up to 12 months

A new report compiled by InterExec has revealed that 86% of head-hunters believe that senior executives consider their next position for up to 12 months.

Responding to the question, “What’s the average time from when a senior executive starts looking for new employment to starting a new role?” head-hunters expect 56% of senior executives to be searching for new employment for between 7 and 11 months, while only 1% of senior executives are expected to wait over 2 years to find a position before searching for new opportunities.

InterExec is the Confidential Agent that represents senior executives earning &pound150k - &pound1million. The report conducted by InterExec, surveyed 80 of the UK’s top senior executive head-hunters across the UK.

Many senior executives will monitor the jobs market as they continue to carry out their roles, so a considered approach is normal.”
