Further Accolade For GCS

GCS has been acknowledged as the top recruitment company in the region by the 2012 Thames Valley 250. The listings, compiled by the Thames Valley Business Magazine, are based on financial standings and rank the most successful privately-owned businesses in the area. GCS has jumped 23 positions in the last year, rising from 126th in 2011 to 103rd this year, becoming the highest-ranked recruitment business.

“It is gratifying to be recognised as the top recruitment business in the region” said Managing Director Chris Bartlett. “I confess to having looked with somewhat green eyes at the recruitment businesses ranked ahead of us last year but the last twelve months have been a superb time for GCS, seeing us break numerous company records and build a foundation that will act as a launch pad toward our goal of tripling in size by 2015. I feel confident we are well on our way.”

Chris is no stranger to recognition, having won the prestigious Director of the Year award from the Institute of Directors’ London & South East branch, as well as being a current nominee for the IOD’s national CSR Director of the Year award. The business as a whole was also recently named Best Medium Business at the Global Recruiter Awards for the second consecutive year, with two of its leading consultants, Lawrence Kelly and Sam Mehta, both nominated for Consultant of the Year awards.

“Our progress over the last two years has been remarkable” commented Managing Director David Bloxham. “In 2010, we embarked on an ambitious five year plan and, thus far, we have overachieved all of our targets and currently find ourselves ahead of schedule for completion of our goal. Everybody within GCS is committed to realising our Vision and internal motivation and employee engagement has never been greater. I’m looking forward to continued success and hopefully breaking into the Top 100 of the Thames Valley 250 in 2013.”
