HR GO Reel In More Than £8K For Children’s Charity
National recruitment and business services group, HR GO plc, has helped to raise over 8,000 pounds for the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT), a small charity with a long history of providing education and welfare grants to children of people working in the fashion and textile industry.
The event was organised by Craig Vidler, Group Non Executive Director of HR GO plc. Craig has worked within the retail industry for over 40 years and is assisting the company with the establishment of a new retail recruitment business.
This was Craig’s 24th year of hosting the charity fly fishing day which collectively have now raised almost 190,000 pounds for a number of worthy causes.
“I am delighted that HR GO plc could be part of this wonderful event and also help such a well deserving charity”, comments Hugh Billot, HR GO plc Group Deputy Chairman. “
Craig comments & lsquo; My friends from the retail industry have done it again and shown how big-hearted they are. The terrible weather conditions didn’t dampen their spirits or generosity. Without the financial support of HR GO and other sponsors the fundraising would not have been so successful.’
The day took place at Dever Springs Fishery near Stockbridge and 40 guests from the business and entertainment industries enjoyed a gala dinner sponsored by HR GO plc followed by a fun day of competitive fishing.
Larry Thompson landed the biggest fish of the day at a respectable 14 1/2 lbs and Gordon Sidwell had the heaviest bag of four fish.
