Morgan Hunt alight with Olympic Spirit

The Olympic torch made a visit to the Morgan Hunt headquarters hot off the heels of the most recent leg of its 70 day torch relay.

Dame Kelly Holmes lit the torch at Tonbridge Castle in her hometown of Tonbridge before delivering it to the London office to give Morgan Hunt colleagues the chance to get a photo with the famous symbol of the games. Queues of excited Morgan Hunt colleagues lined the corridors to have their photo taken for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

In keeping with the wave of Olympic spirit and their ongoing support of the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust, Morgan Hunt actively promotes a fit, healthy and competitive culture. One of the many employee initiatives launched recently, the Morgan Hunt Active programme, encourages staff to take part in regular fitness activity and compete with one another to win prizes and reach personal goals, creating a real sense of healthy competitive spirit amongst the team, as well as promoting a good work life balance. Alongside this, Morgan Hunt provides fresh fruit weekly for all employees to aid with their 5-a-day.

Gavin Megnauth, Director of Operations at Morgan Hunt, said: “As an ongoing commitment to nurturing a fit and healthy workforce here at Morgan Hunt we’ve launched various initiatives over the years to encourage employees to get involved and embrace a real sense of competition and team spirit. These activities also help tremendously with employee engagement and teambuilding. Our partnership with the DKH Legacy Trust is also a great influence on fostering this culture, and having Dame Kelly Holmes as a key ambassador supporting this commitment has been truly inspiring for Morgan Hunt employees. Having Dame Kelly bring the Olympic torch to the office yesterday provided a great opportunity for staff to really embrace what is already a monumental piece of British history”.
