Simon Kenniford joins Resourcing Group

Simon Kenniford has recently joined Resourcing Group as Client Relationship Director, and will be driving projects to support HCIG’s (Human Capital Investment Group) Business Development capabilities. Simon brings a wealth of experience to HCIG with over 13 years experience of designing, implementing and running a range of innovative recruitment solutions across sectors including Local Government, Charities, Housing and Blue Chip organisations.

Adam Herron, HCIG Chief Operating Officer says, "Having someone of Simon's pedigree and credibility within the group will enable us to drive through our commitment to clients in offering cost-effective recruitment solutions, alongside a truly specialised bespoke service. Due to Simon's extensive internal experience, he will support and advise clients on the ongoing challenges faced in reducing overall spend on recruitment, as well as the political challenges around creating buy in from internal stakeholders".

Simon's primary focus for Resourcing Group will be to launch a new range of MVs, Managed Services and RPOs to market, focusing on a specialist, integrated approach to outsourced services for clients. In addition, there will be a real focus on creating a number of value add services to continually support organisations in streamlining their HR processes.

Simon has recently developed and implemented an integrated temporary and permanent recruitment solution for Genesis Housing Association, and has already realised Temporary savings of 30% and Permanent savings of 15%. Kelly Fryer Deputy Director of HR at Genesis comments, "Having someone with Simon's expertise has been invaluable in creating a recruitment service that is further ahead of the curve in the marketplace. Our key challenge has been controlling our establishment and out of contract Temporary Spend. With Simon's guidance, we've put some key controls in place which have resulted in our out of contract Temporary Spend reducing from &pound1,800,000 in 2011 to &pound0 since the contract has gone live. In terms of establishment control, Simon designed a complex interface ensuring managers only recruit to established posts. This has resulted in considerable reductions in salary budgets for 2011/2012."

Kelly also comments "When creating this service, we wanted to break the mould of a transactional approach, by focusing on a specialist, collaborative service given by our outsourced provider. From this, Resourcing Group have gained a real understanding of the profile of talent the organisation needs, and have built extensive Talent Pools to support our recruitment requirements moving forward".
