Command Center Announces August Revenue Up 14.5% to $8.75 Million

Command Center, Inc. a national provider of on-demand and temporary staffing solutions, today announced revenue of $8.75 million for the four-week reporting period of August 2012, a 14.5% increase on revenue of $7.65 million recorded in August 2011.

There were 57 company-owned stores at the end of August, as compared with 54 stores one year ago. Command is in the process of opening three additional branch locations to service customers in areas where there is already an immediate need for the kind of skilled and unskilled workers that the company provides.

“Revenue numbers continue to step up and reflect our ability to provide comprehensive labor solutions that service many different sectors of the economy,” said Glenn Welstad, Command Center Chairman and CEO. “At the onset of the recession, we were known and used primarily for light industrial and construction work. But during these tough economic times, management has identified and expanded into more attractive markets that have been friendlier to our growth. One of these has been disaster relief and recovery, and Command Center has become a preferred vendor to some of the most prestigious national contractors working in this area. When large numbers of workers need to be mobilized quickly and managed properly, we are proud to be one of the top go-to companies to get the job done right.”

Mr. Welstad added that the company has been asked to respond and, if necessary, to provide as many as 1,200 workers for cleanup following the path of Hurricane Isaac. The Command national disaster team has been mobilized to the Gulf region and is actively recruiting workers. “Of course, we never like to see people and communities at risk as in this situation. But if communities are hit hard and need massive help in the aftermath, we can provide local employment and be of real assistance in the rebuilding process.”
