Paul Chamberlain on REC’s Institute of Recruitment Professionals Awards panel
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) invited Paul Chamberlain, Partner and head of Employment law at Brabners Chaffe Street’s Manchester office, to join the judging panel of this year’s prestigious Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) Awards.
Paul was part of a judging panel of fifteen, who represented a high-profile cross-section of individuals from the employment and recruitment sectors.
The panel judged all the entries for sixteen awards categories including best newcomer, in-house recruiter of the year, best contribution to the community and best company to work for. They have reviewed all 2012 winners and identified the individual who best represents all that is great about the recruitment industry for the Recruiter of the Year award as well as chosen a winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award which will go to an individual who during their career has made a significant contribution to advancing the professionalism of the recruitment industry and the REC.
Now it its fourth year, the IRP Awards is an annual event which celebrates excellence, best practice and achievement in recruitment. Unique in drawing attention to the positive impact of professionalism within the industry, the awards are renowned for raising the profile of individuals and companies deserving of acclaim for their aspirational work.
Paul said: “I was delighted and honoured to judge these prestigious awards which celebrate the very best of recruiters and recruitment agencies across the country and promote best practice and professionalism across the industry. This opportunity was borne out of the strong relationship we have with the REC, having worked closely with the organisation and its members for a number of years and recognised the credibility we hold within the industry.”
